Our founder, Walter Ward, before becoming a lawyer, built a successful medical practice – caring for families throughout the Orlando community. He understands “great bedside manner” and along with his partner, Tony Caggiano, treats each client like family. Walter C. Ward graduated from Loma Linda Medical School in California and began practicing medicine in Central Florida. For nearly a decade, Dr. Ward provided Orlando-area families with internal medicine, pediatric, orthopedic, and obstetric care.

Having a great interest in the law, he attended and graduated from the University of Florida Law School and became a member of The Florida Bar. From that point forward, he devoted his professional life to the practice of law, representing victims of medical malpractice, and personal injury. Dr. Ward is one of a small number of lawyers in Florida who is also a licensed medical doctor. Along with Tony Caggiano, he founded Florida Trial MD. In 1987.

For more than thirty-five years, Dr. Ward has handled the complex medical-legal issues which arise in our clients’ personal injury and malpractice cases. As a medical doctor and lawyer, Dr. Ward brings invaluable expertise to accident, injury, and medical malpractice cases. Throughout the years, he has maintained his medical license and shared his medical expertise with students and practitioners in both the legal and healthcare fields.
